Pro Bowler, former Tennessee Titan and Tampa Bay Buccaneer Kevin Carter hosted the Eighth Annual Kevin Carter’s “Waiting for Wishes” Celebrity Waiter’s Dinner to benefit The Kevin Carter Foundation and The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee. The event was held at The Palm Restaurant on Tuesday, April 14. The celebrity dinner is an exclusive, VIP evening where Carter, NFL teammates and alumni and other professional athletes along with various country music artists take over The Palm as celebrity servers. Co-host Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts was performing live with his band mates on “”Dancing With The Stars” and was unable to attend the event.
On Saturday, February 28th, 2009 the world premier of the ‘Alpina 12 Hours of Sebring’ watch was celebrated at King Jewelers in Aventura, Florida. The event was enjoyed by all who attended and there was an overwhelming excitement surrounding the design and feel of the Special Limited Edition Alpina watch. The first editions of this striking 48mm black and red racing watch were flown straight from Geneva for the event in at King Jewelers. Only 257 pieces will ever be made worldwide, and King Jewelers was granted the exclusive privilege of selling numbers 1 through 20.
King Jewelers hosted the North American debut of its first Nashville Watch Fair “The Fair After the Fairs,” an exclusive sneak peak at the new and exciting Swiss timepieces from the Geneva 2009 watch fairs which were held in Geneva, Switzerland in January. A Jewelry Fair was also held in conjunction with the three-day event.
