Established in 1946 at the end of the Second World War in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the joint forces of Rene Schaldenbrand and Georges Dubey created the Dubey & Schaldenbrand Watch Company. The vision was to offer a high standard selection of mechanical watches that were reliable and affordable, especially during a time when specific function for military and sport use was in great demand. In 1995, the company was sold to a passionate and dedicated woman, Cinette Robert. A member of the illustrious LeCoultre family, Robert revived the Dubey & Schaldenbrand brand as she paid homage to the past with her fabulous old movement collection. Robert decided to reinvent Dubey & Schaldenbrand based on the original principles of the founding fathers by recasing each movement according to the era when it was created. The new Modern-Retro designs rapidly found a niche with collectors as the limited editions sold out worldwide. Today, there are 3 distinct product lines as the collections will continue to be enhanced with new limited edition series based exclusively on vintage movements.
